Misha’s Vineyard Opens Pop-Up Cellar Door

Misha’s Vineyard will open a pop-up cellar door in Cromwell for just two weeks commencing on Monday the 2nd January. Located in The Mall in the heart of Cromwell, the pop-up cellar door will be open from 10am to 4pm daily. Misha’s Vineyard produces an extensive range of Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines including Pinot Gris, Riesling, Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, as well as a late harvest dessert wine – all of which will be available for complimentary tastings at the pop-up cellar door. Otago Winner Celebrates New Zealand Junior Sommelier Title

Misha’s Vineyard Celebrates 10th Vintage Milestone and Expanded Coverage across Asia Pacific

Misha’s Vineyard celebrates its 10th vintage this month and also announces further expansion of their distribution across Southeast Asia with the addition of Myanmar and Indonesia.

From the outset, the strategy for the spectacularly-located Misha’s Vineyard, has been to build a premium brand working primarily with top restaurants and five-star hotels around the world with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region. “When we launched our wines into the market in early 2010, we announced 3 distributors in Asia – Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong – as well as Negociants New Zealand as our domestic distribution partner” said Misha Wilkinson. “Since then we’ve steadily increased our coverage across the Asia Pacific region and delighted to now be adding Myanmar and Indonesia, bringing the total number of markets in the region to fourteen.” Read more →

New Zealand Pinot Noir Selected for World’s Finest Wine Glasses

CROMWELL, Central Otago, New Zealand, 16 November 2012. A New Zealand Pinot Noir from Misha’s Vineyard in Central Otago has been selected to demonstrate some of the finest crystal glasses crafted for Pinot Noir by 250-year old Austrian glass company Riedel, the world’s leading designer and producer of luxury glassware.

The Riedel Glass Tasting is to be held on Saturday 17th November in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, one of South-East Asia’s newly emerging wine markets, and will be hosted by Riedel’s 10th-generation company President George J Riedel. Tickets for the event which will be held in the city’s leading international 5-star hotel, the Caravelle Hotel, are priced at US$110 a seat and were sold out over a week ago with 120 people scheduled to attend.
