Cassy Farmer
Administration & Operations Manager
Originally from Tauranga, Cassy moved to Auckland and started an Engineering Degree because of her love of calculus and physics but after two years she changed direction to pursue business and accounting qualifications instead. Not content with full-time study, she took on a full-time job in banking and also opened a café in downtown Auckland with some partners.
On completing her Bachelor of Business degree Cassy then worked for an insurance company before being hit by the travel bug which took her to France. Falling in love with the mountains, the lifestyle and the people, she lived in Grenoble for three years working as an English language teacher with lots of skiing in her free time.
Returning to Auckland, Cassy then settled into a more rigorous work life spending the next nine years in lead financial roles for multinational corporations during which time she also became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Recently relocating to Central Otago in search of ‘paradise’, Cassy’s convinced she’s now found the perfect location to indulge her passions for skiing, food and wine, and doing a job where she can be the ‘numbers queen’.
